One and a half months ago,
I joined a Indian national mangement Company
It was an experience, "thrilling" enough for me.
at least....
Besides Indian national management,
it is also a female dominated company.
out of 100 employee, i think 89 are female.
No doubt though, these ladies are good.
I'm in a team of 11, all ladies.
I've 3 extraordinary senior.
Why would i describe them as extraordinary?
They were just gorgeous, incredible and unbelievable.
I am as a so called marketing coordinator in an export manufacturing company.
What are my task and scope?
I,
do paper work,
document such as invoices, etc, (can't talk much, sensitive)
and most of my time spent on searching.
Yup! SEARCHING it is.
I am like a communicator for the sales person to reach all the other department.
I do checking on Letter of Credit,
pass around for Finance to check the clauses,
I scrolled L/C information into the system for the further linkage sake,
I do redirect for the Finance to the sale on clauses that need to be correct,
I do Transaction check on Telegraphic Transfer (what we called T/T) with the account dept.
I write product ready form for the sale,
to make product ready from production,
I create sale order and dunno what STO,
for the factory to pack products, seal, load, and exit factory,
I passed product ready form to Shipping dept.
for shipment booking,
I check booking detail with the shipping officer for the sale,
after goods shipped,
I create billing from the system and print invoices and packing list,
I sometimes have to create some other document such as......
to fulfill the L/C.
huh? can't see what my job have to do with searching?
that is the fun part.
all the above are the boring part of the job,
here come the fun part:
dealing with 'cocky' sale,
following their procedure instead of the ISO procedure,
getting information that the sales wanted immediately because they are just 'URGENT'
informing and updating the sale on their booking status
begging sales to request client to change or amend L/C clauses.
3 of my seniors, they managed to handled all the above scope
they handled it perfectly.
They survived in that condition,
and that is what make me feel incredible about them.
When there are difficulties and unwillingness in a job,
what will make an employee to stay behind for it?
I always wonder why are these people STILL here
after a week i worked there.
It isn't satisfying at all.
There isn't 1 thing for these people to just carry on with what they are doing.
Maybe it is me that can't be in that shoe.
So 30 April was my last day in that shoe.
These are some photos that took while lunch.
Thanks to my seniors for the expensive lunch.
Stefany, and i'll say that she is the tough one.
This is Huey Y'ing, but she isn't my senior,
she is older, but new to the team.
I hope when i'm gone, she'll have better treatment front the management.
Wei Sing, the other senior,
and i'll called her smart.
Eventually, she is one who suprises me most for
her present at the company.
She deserved better. :)
Ths is my direct senior.
Mei Teng, she's the one sitting next to me.
and this one, i'll say, if real patience are 100%,
her patience level is 180%.
I'm suprised that she's STILL so 'alive' after all these years.
By the way, i think we really build a relationship on this short period,
i never felt this close to a strager. :)
yup, for my record, one and a half month,
it has always been stranger.
